New bag!

Fabrics in fresh colours, reminding me of the spring to come (or...is it already here?? Could have fooled me these days with temperatures reaching 15°c...). This bag is the same kind of bag as in my previous post, but this one can also be closed with a zip inside. Practical and secure - the bag has plenty of room inside, with pockets for your cellphone as well.

Voilà! Latest creation in my shop, this one's a true beauty.

Since i stumbled upon this fabric, designed by one of the best - Amy Butler - i fell in love and i've been there since. I love the colours, the design, the retro look - so inspiring and so gorgeous. It was actually meant to turn into a dress...for myself...but time passes so quickly and summer is almost here. I don't have the time to do the pattern and all - therefore i decided to turn it into a beautiful bag.

Isn't it just simply amazing? I love it, the fabric, the pattern....it's incredible how much you can fit into the bag.

Connaissez-vous "A little market"?

Il y a bien longtemps, je découvre "Etsy" - vous savez; le site américain de vente/achat de produits entièrement faits mains, loin du monde industrialisé que l'on connaît trop bien. Après cette découverte ainsi que plusieurs achats, ce même genre de site a ouvert ses "portes" en Norvège. On y trouve vraiment de tout, des très belles choses à un prix tout à fait abordable. C'est là où j'ai ouvert ma toute première boutique à moi; KokolilaFactory.

Ensuite, il y a quelques mois, je regarde la télé, et là, comme par hasard, on me parle de ce même genre de site - cette fois en France (je l'avais pourtant cherché ce site français....sans succés à l'époque). Bréf, le site s'appelle "A Little Market", et puisque "Etsy" me semblait viser plutôt les américains, j'ai trouvé que la clientèle française se situait un chouia plus près pour vendre mes créations...et aussi pour acheter au cas où...!

Je continue donc avec ma petite boutique, cette fois en version française. Ca vous dit de venir voir ??

En tout cas, à part ma boutique, il y a aussi tellement de belles choses à découvrir, les créateurs différents sont dotés de beaucoup de talents et il y a vraiment quelque chose pour tout et chacun de nous. Suffit de fouiller un peu...je vous laisse vous promener dans le jardin de fait main

Sac, porte-monnaie/trousses, jupes....

J'ai travaillé et travaillé et continue ainsi. Pendant ce temps je vous présente ici une partie:

Petites jupes t.116, tissu 100% coton (velours côtelé très fin), élastique à la taille. Mensurations:

taille 52 cm

longueur 45 - 53 cm

Petit porte-monnaie ou trousse de toilette dans un tissu coton 100% aux couleurs fraîches. Il peut facilement contenir cartes de credit, natel, maquillage et monnaie...

Mensurations:

hauteur 15 cm

longeur fond 18 cm

Et enfin mon petit chou-chou de sac, fabriqué par moi de A à Z ; idée de base, développement patron, essais, couture et voilà le résultat. Je l'adore et le garderais bien moi-même pour ces belles journées d'été qui s'approchent à grands pas. Mais au premier, je vous le propose ici et dans ma boutique (venez voir!!!) sur internet...et c'est par ici!

Amélie Poulain tribute

Le fabuleux destin de Amélie Poulain was and still is one of my favourite movies. How could you not compleatly fall in love with the main charachter, the sweetest of them all, Amélie, played by Audrey Tautou. Since then she kind of disappeared, for me anyhow. I've only seen her in one movie after this and that was the Da Vinci Code a couple of years ago, but it wasn't quite the same now, was it?

So in the line of my drawing experiences, i sincerly wanted my portrait of Amélie to be somewhat close to perfection. I did this portrait twice because the first one didn't quite please me. The second one is the one above - still, i can see it's not quite what i had in mind, having gained the sweetest Amélie with a few extra kilos around the cheeks. Poor Amélie, i think she just ate too much during christmas....didn't we all?

Still feel i'm getting there, slowly. Just need some more practice, just need more time!

Back to school and routines this week, have a wonderful and brand new monday!

Happy 2011!

I'm not particulary into making a whole list of new resolutions (or old ones for that matter) - you know, the ones which won't last longer than a month - if you're lucky. But the other day i came by this little message, somehow it talked to me very very much indeed (for many reasons). I would like to share it with you here, maybe it won't talk to you the same way as it did to me, but it really has it's fair share of truth in it. And this is how it goes:

-there are so many people out there who will tell you that you can't. What you've got to do is turn around and say "watch me"-

I am collecting wise sayings (might be slightly naive here), but i feel the wiseness and the truth in them. The wiseness you may forget in the busyness of everyday. The truth that one should think about, which lies there before us but isn't always easy to see.
